Programs Offered

The Salmon Journey Workshop

The Salmon Journey Project educates participants about the Yuba River
ecosystem, emphasizing the interdependence between nature and humans by
highlighting cross-cultural connections and honoring the indigenous heritage.

Through visual elements, music, and playful expressions, the workshop
transforms learning into an interactive exploration. Join us for an exciting
journey that spans storytelling and communication across generations,
through an enriching and enjoyable experience.

Spanish Immersion Through Interactive Arts

A bilingual program where children are immersed in Spanish through rich, interactive experiences. Using movement, music, puppetry, storytelling, and visual arts, children engage with language in a joyful and meaningful way — learning naturally as they play and create.
Learning Through Creativity
An interactive arts program that weaves together music, dance, oral expression, and visual arts. Children explore creative expression through themed modules that encourage collaboration, imagination, and artistic discovery.

Creative Dance

A dance program that blends free exploration with guided improvisation. Children explore the core elements of modern dance — Space, Time, and Energy — while developing body and spatial awareness. They co-create original choreographies, discover their unique movement vocabulary, and incorporate props, drawing, and collage into their process

A Storytelling Journey

An interactive program where stories come alive through movement, puppetry, music, sound, oral expression, and visual arts. Children bring their own stories to life — co-creating the musical soundscape, illustrations, and even the backdrop for their tales. A space for imagination, collaboration, and narrative expression.

Circles of Joy

Exploring the world of rhythm through drums, body percussion, small percussive instruments, voice, and movement. A nurturing space for group connection through music, rhythm, guided games, and shared expression. These joyful circles invite children to play, sing, move, and create together — building community, confidence, and presence.

This video captures the essence of the project, documenting the creative process and including footage from the first intergenerational workshop at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. It emphasizes the project’s main goals and outlines the vision for its future development.
